YOUR DESIGNER
I'm Ali, owner of Firefly Alley Creative Co.
Beginning in 2011, I worked my way up in the creative world with both nonprofits and corporations. I, like many creatives, experienced great frustration with the limits imposed by traditional agencies and in-house marketing teams. I was confused by arbitrary corporate rules that dominate just because "that's how it's always been", even when they mean lost time and money.
After having my second child in 2018, it was time to cut from the safety of a traditional 9-5 job and carve my own path.

Reckless? Sure. But I've always been considered a little unconventional.

Since then (and two more children!), I've continued to break from the restraints and unnecessarily rigid structures that hinder innovation and creativity. With a background in sociology, I'm fascinated by people's behavior and motivations. We all crave a deeper, more authentic connection with one another and with the organizations that are vying for our attention through marketing.
Most importantly, I wholeheartedly believe in the power of creativity and beautiful design to ignite and inspire the world.

IN A NAME?
Where did Firefly Alley come from?
Fireflies are defined by a beauty that is slight, sophisticated, and understated. It isn’t anything obviously remarkable, but everyone is awestruck when fireflies dance across the horizon. You can’t help but point out a firefly! This simplified, subtle beauty is what I create for my clients. We scale back to the roots of your marketing story and create a compelling visual identity to captivate and propel that narrative.
Alley, a fun little pun on my own name, conveys a journey. At some point, you’ve probably been stuck in a stagnant, “this is what we’ve always done” box that is duct-taped and nailed shut with confusing, complicated marketing chaos. I push my clients outside their comfort zone into an evolutionary, progressive brand development process.
